3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Dog Treats (No-Fail Recipe)
When Bear smells peanut butter, the whole house knows. These three-ingredient treats are the ones we make on repeat — no weird additives, no long bake time, just a snack you can feel good about.
Before you start: peanut butter safety
Use a plain peanut butter with no xylitol (also listed as 'birch sugar'). Xylitol is toxic to dogs. Check the label every time, even on brands you trust.
Ingredients
- 1 cup oat flour (or rolled oats blitzed in a blender)
- 1/2 cup xylitol-free peanut butter
- 1 egg
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a tray with parchment.
- Mix all three ingredients into a stiff dough. Add a splash of water if it's dry.
- Roll out to about 1/4 inch and cut into small shapes.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until firm and golden.
- Cool completely before serving — they firm up as they cool.
Storage
Keep in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. Frozen ones double as a soothing treat for teething puppies.
