3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Dog Treats (No-Fail Recipe)

By Brandon & Rebecca Stone · 1 min read · June 22, 2026

When Bear smells peanut butter, the whole house knows. These three-ingredient treats are the ones we make on repeat — no weird additives, no long bake time, just a snack you can feel good about.

Before you start: peanut butter safety

Use a plain peanut butter with no xylitol (also listed as 'birch sugar'). Xylitol is toxic to dogs. Check the label every time, even on brands you trust.

Ingredients

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a tray with parchment.
  2. Mix all three ingredients into a stiff dough. Add a splash of water if it's dry.
  3. Roll out to about 1/4 inch and cut into small shapes.
  4. Bake 12–15 minutes until firm and golden.
  5. Cool completely before serving — they firm up as they cool.

Storage

Keep in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. Frozen ones double as a soothing treat for teething puppies.
